child. What did your parents do?
• In God's speech to Moses, what are the
signs of his alienation from the people?
• How would you explain the notion of
God's anger?

wrath?
• How might you take his example to heart?

God wants to live in a covenant with you

Sin must be atoned
The Blood of the Covenant
The assurance
Taking it home:
• God is pursuing you for his covenant.
How do you feel about this?
• Can one be truly obedient to God and
truly free at the same time?
• To atone for sin is to remove its guilt
and power as a barrier to relationship.
Where in your life do you see the greatest
need for atonement?
• When Jesus says in communion “This is
the blood of the covenant poured out for
you.” What is your response?
• Who are the reliable witnesses to the
faith you find most reassuring?
