What to Expect

Welcome to
Highland United Methodist Church

Thanks for taking the time to check us out. We hope you find the information you need and that you'll stop by for a visit.

FYIs, Planning your first visit....

We are so glad that you are considering a visit to our church!
Please dress comfortably! You will discover that some of our folks dress up while others wear their favorite jeans.

We offer two services every Sunday, 9:30am and 11:00am.
Our services offer a blend of contemporary and traditional music, prayer, and a Biblical message. No matter which service you visit, our desire and hope is that you will feel warmly welcomed and experience God's loving presence.

HUMC is a great place for your children!
You can attend worship together as a family or they can spend time at one of our age-appropriate programs.

  • The nursery/child care areas (located between the main church and the Family Life Center - FLC) are open during both services.
  • Kids Church (for kindergarten through 5th grades) takes place at 9:30 and 11am in the FLC gym.
  • Our high school and middle school youth meet at 11am in the lower level of the FLC.

Adult Bible study is also available on Sunday mornings at 11am.
Feel free to stop in to see what it's like. Classes take place in the far east end of the building. They are open to members and guests alike.

Communion is generally the 1st Sunday of each month.
It is open to all who are seeking Christ and who intend to follow Him to the best of their ability. We offer bread and gluten free wafers. Grape juice is served in individual cups. You need not be a member of HUMC or any other church to join us in Communion.

We seek to be a church that is warm, friendly, and personal. Please let us know if you'd like additional information. You can contact the church office at 248-887-1311 or email us at  info@humc.us.
